Books I Read in October: Wicked Serve, The Off-Campus Series, and The Boyfriend

I’ve been in a serious collegiate athlete romance phase ever since reading Icebreaker and Wildfire by Hannah Grace back in September, and The Beyond The Play and Off-Campus series was the perfect fix! It was so satisfying to deep dive into these sports-centered romances.

And to top off the month, Freida McFadden’s new release, The Boyfriend brought a refreshing rush of adrenaline and mystery that made for an exciting change of pace. So let’s break it down!

Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly

Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly

I kicked off October with Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly, the fourth and final installment in the Beyond The Play series. This series follows the Callahan family—James, Cooper, Sebastian, and Izzy—as they navigate college sports at McKee University, blending passion, ambition, and romance along the way.

The story’s chemistry is instant and intense, with characters who are competitive on the field and have undeniable sparks off it.

Reilly has a way of capturing the thrill of sports and mixing it seamlessly with romance, making this a fun, engaging read from start to finish. If you love sports romance with characters who have strong personalities and high stakes, Wicked Serve is a winner.

The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, The Goal, and The Legacy by Elle Kennedy

Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series was the perfect binge-read this month! Each book is full of romance, humor, and a touch of drama, and the college setting adds a refreshing vibe to the stories.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy

The Deal

This is where it all begins! The Deal introduces us to witty, loveable characters who challenge and grow with each other. Kennedy brings a perfect mix of humor and heart. This installment follows the love story of Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells.

The Mistake by Elle Kennedy

The Mistake

In the second book, the stakes and emotions deepen. Kennedy’s knack for balancing lighthearted banter with genuine character growth makes The Mistake one of the standouts in the series. This installment follows the love story of John Logan and Grace Ivers.

The Score

Full of steamy romance and laugh-out-loud moments, The Score delivers a dynamic relationship and is just as addicting as the first two. This installment follows the love story of dean Hayward-Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes.

The Goal by Elle Kennedy

The Goal

By now, each character feels like a friend. This book dives into life changes and new responsibilities, bringing a sense of maturity without losing the humor and charm. This installment follows the love story of John Tucker and Sabrina James.
