Welcome to haleyhthomas: My Blog’s Next Chapter
If you’ve been here for a while, you might remember that Tide & Thyme started during a very different chapter of my life.
At the time, I was working in the health and fitness industry and looking for a creative outlet outside of that space. Cooking had always been something I loved, and writing felt like a natural extension of that. Tide & Thyme became a place where I could share recipes, ideas, and little pieces of life in a way that felt creative and personal.
What started as a small creative outlet slowly grew into something I truly loved.
But over the past couple of years, life has changed in the best ways.
A few months after my wedding in 2024, I transitioned into a new role professionally, and it brought a level of balance and fulfillment that I hadn’t experienced before. Around that same time, my husband and I began making plans for our next big move.
In May of 2025, we packed up and moved to Wilmington, North Carolina — a place that instantly felt like home.
Living near the coast, slowing down a little, and building a life here sparked so much creativity for me. Just a couple months later, in July 2025, I launched my clothing brand, Seventh Shore — a project that had been living in my head for a long time.
Between the move, the career shift, and starting a business, my life naturally started to evolve.
And with that, it felt like Tide & Thyme needed to evolve too.
Building Something New
When we moved to Wilmington in May of 2025, I felt an incredible wave of inspiration. Living near the water, being surrounded by coastal culture, and settling into a slower pace of life sparked ideas I had been sitting on for years.
One of those ideas became Seventh Shore.
In July of 2025, I launched the brand with the goal of creating coastal-inspired pieces that felt timeless, easy, and wearable for everyday life by the water. What started as a small idea quickly became one of the most creatively fulfilling things I’ve ever built.
Running Seventh Shore has given me a whole new appreciation for the process of creating something from the ground up — from designing pieces and building the website to connecting with people who love the brand.
As that part of my life grew, I realized something else.
The blog had grown beyond just recipes or wellness content. It had become a place where I share pieces of my life — building a business, living near the coast, the things I’m cooking lately, what I’m reading, what I’m wearing, and the everyday moments that make life feel full.
And that’s when the idea for this next step started to take shape.
Why the Blog Is Changing
While Tide & Thyme will always be a part of this journey, the blog itself has grown into something bigger than the name originally captured.
So instead of starting something entirely new, I decided to evolve it.
Tide & Thyme is now becoming haleyhthomas.
This new name allows the space to reflect everything I’m building and sharing — not just one specific niche. It gives room for the blog, creative projects, businesses like Seventh Shore, and whatever else might come next.
At the end of the day, this space has always been about sharing the things I love and the life I’m building. Naming it under my own name felt like the most natural next step.
